Our Vena cava filter is made up of strands of stainless steel 316L non-magnetic material. Its two levels of anchorage and centering are distinguished by the length of the strands. It is formed by the shorter strands, with six legs whose distal ends are bent into hooks. The lower floor consists of three legs providing the centering support. These legs have a curved concave shape that decreases the risk of injury. The legs are of unequal length, avoiding the intersection in the catheter (introducer sheath).
