Profile: Baltimore Laboratories offers biocellular analyzers. Our product models include the BL9000 and the BL5000 biocellular analyzers. The BL9000 is a fully automated computerized, laboratory instrument that is controlled by a personal computer running on a Windows operating system. The BL9000 screen shows the visual status of the testing process, fluid levels, and test time remaining. It houses its own reservoirs of reagents and calibrates itself on a regular basis. It utilizes two solutions, or two calibration points, for each of three values: pH, rH2, and r. Double junction electrodes used in the analyzers create a layer of protection for accuracy against the proteins that can contaminate the electrode. The electrodes are designed with a large surface area, and a flat-bottomed shape. Lab Sentry™ is a revolutionary, 21st century self-monitoring system used in these analyzers. The BL9000 and BL5000 will automatically call customer support and report any potential problems with the help of a telephone modem in the computer. Software updates are automatically sent to the computer, thus saving loading time. The BL5000 is a manual instrument incorporating all the technological advantages of the BL9000, but with manual calibration and cleaning. This feature makes BL5000 more economical.
