The spinner shaft is attached to a vented fitting on the PTFE cap seal by a length of standard silicone tubing. This special venting prevents separation of the silicone tubing from the cap seal fitting during steam autoclaving. The glass ball houses a circular magnet that gently agitates microcarrier beads to keep them in suspension and to insure optimal cell growth.
