Profile: Bio-optics delivers both non-contact and contact clinical specular microscopes. Our Bio-Optics Bambi 2500 is easy to use and features both basic and advanced cell-analysis, digital image storage and retrieval, and databases for images and numeric data, fully automated cell counting using AutoCount is fast, accurate, and FDA approved. Our LSM-2000C Clinical Specular microscope is available with images obtained on either 35mm film, Polaroid film, or video monitor, the video instrument has become the current standard. In the clinic, images are generally input directly into either the Thumper or the Bambi system for ease of use and for documenting, storing and analyzing the imagesNon-contact specular microscopes obtain an image of the corneal endothelium without touching the patient's cornea, while contact specular microscopes require a special lens to be placed against the cornea. Our Flower 2500 provide the capability of performing Cell Counts and Morphology & our FF Cell Count, VF Cell Count, Centers Cell Count, and Polymegathism features to provide rapid and easy-to-perform methods for evaluating the endothelium.
