Our O-Twist marker is designed for percutaneous marking in soft tissues, particularly the breast tissue and can be used for lesion marking before or during chemotherapy or for marking after exploratory excisions and an improved therapy planning in cases of radiotherapy. It is characterized as a twisted marking ring in stretched form, located at the distal end of the application needle and represented via ultrasound, radiography, computer-assisted tomography and magnetic resonance tomography and is supported by the material selection and construction features. We provide checkmate, which enables performance of a direct 3D visual position control in stereotaxic mammography. We use millimeter accurate check of the stereotaxis-device adjustment in X, Y and Z direction and gives graphic check of pre-programmed needle lengths with direct visual controls.
