Profile: Duncan Hynd Associates, Ltd. offers infrared patient positioning, monitoring & alarm systems, 3D laser systems, laser countouring systems, and prostate implants. Our Profa laser 3D imaging system uses a laser triangulation scanner, which is fully integrated into the radiotherapy simulator. It captures a complete set of 3-dimensional surface data by using the simulator gantry to scan the patient in the treatment position. It enables generation of contours from the data at user defined positions within the data set. Our infra-red patient position monitoring and alarm system maintains patient safety & security during radiotherapy treatment.
