The systems offers better option to the impaired as it bypasses the outer & middle ear altogether. The Baha system utilizes direct bone conduction, which allows the bone to transfer the sound to a functioning cochlea thereby bypassing the outer & middle ear. It combines a sound processor with an abutment & a small titanium implant.
