Profile: Erickson Labs Northwest specializes in custom ocular prosthetics, artificial eyes and scleral shells. Our products are lubricants, soothing drops, eye patches, suction cups, eye cleaners and lid scrubs. A scleral shell is an ocular prosthesis that is worn over an existing eye. The shell fits like a large contact lens covering the front surface of the eye globe. It moves with the existing eye and is fit so that the eyelid openings are symmetrical. Our sil-ophtho silicone lubricant is made specifically for artificial eyes. Occasionally, artificial eye wearers will experience dryness, irritation, increased drainage or difficulty in blinking. This is especially true of hot, cold, windy, dusty or air-conditioned environments. Our sil-ophtho will help alleviate these symptoms providing comfort, less drainage and a more natural appearance. Our large silicone suction cup aids in the removal and placement of artificial eyes. Thin walls are provided for easier squeezing. It is washable with soap and water.
