The wires are cut to specific lengths and tinned accurately in both ends, and therefore both assembly time as well as usage of materials is reduced. CPT wires are traditional standard wires. They are made from pure copper with fine polyurethane enamel available in litz and solid. Solid wires are very strong but not so flexible. May be difficult to handle in the assembly process of ITEs. May cause acoustic feed-back. Solid wires are often used for trimmers, and volume controls. Some companies also use them for microphones and battery springs.
