Profile: Galix Biomedical Instrumentation, Inc. designer and manufacturer of medical electronic equipment. GBI-3SM Digital Holter Recorder stores, on a memory card, continuous recordings of a patient's electrocardiogram, for a 24/48 or 72-hour period. The recording is not really a form of continuous monitoring in the sense that the signal is not available immediately. The ECG data is stored in a conventional Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card. The recording is a representation of past events which permits a detailed "off-line" analysis of them at a later time. This analysis is performed with the WinTer Holter Analyzer. This unit performs either the 24/48 hour Holter recording at a sampling rate of 256 or 1000 samples per second (V.H.R.ECG) for further Ventricular Late Potential Analysis. The GBI-3SM recorder is one of the most reliable portable units of the market. Our ECG-PS offers an "All-in-One" solution to your cardiology diagnostic needs. It combines a 12-Lead, real-time electrocardiogram with an ERGO Exercise Stress system. Our ERGO-PS is a software package designed to provide the cardiologist with an on-screen visualization of the acquired channels, control remote peripherals such as a treadmill, exercise bike, perform the exam using pre-defined protocols. Our Physio-28 Polygraph is a High resolution System with 12 surface ECG and 16 intracavitary channels with a built-in stimulator for all kind of electrophysiology studies.
The company was founded in 1993, has revenues of < USD 1 Million, has ~20 employees and is ISO 9001, CE certified.

• Electrocardiograph (FDA Code: DPS / 870.2340) An electrocardiograph is a device used to process the electrical signal transmitted through two or more electrocardiograph electrodes and to produce a visual display of the electrical signal produced by the heart. |
• External Pacemaker Pulse Generator (FDA Code: DTE / 870.3600) An external pacemaker pulse generator is a device that has a power supply and electronic circuits that produce a periodic electrical pulse to stimulate the heart. This device, which is used outside the body, is used as a temporary substitute for the heart's intrinsic pacing sytem until a permanent pacemaker can be implanted, or to control irregular heartbeats in patients following cardiac surgery or a myocardial infarction. The device may have adjustments for impulse strength, duration, R-wave sensitivity, and other pacing variables. |
• External Programmable Pacemaker Pulse Generator (FDA Code: JOQ / 870.1750) An external programmable pacemaker pulse generators is a device that can be programmed to produce one or more pulses at preselected intervals; this device is used in electrophysiological studies. |
