We were the first to develop and market a series of genetic probes for use in clinical diagnostic test kits to identify a variety of infectious, viral and cancer-related diseases. The probes target ribosomal RNA which are small molecules that reside in every living cell, rather than DNA which is the genetic material carried on a cell's chromosomes. By targeting RNA instead of DNA, the probes can detect much smaller numbers of organisms to diagnose infectious diseases.
