Our EEG devices measure electrical activity originating in an area of the brain called the cerebral cortex. The cerebral cortex plays an important role in cognitive functioning, including attention, memory, awareness, thought, language and consciousness. It uses electrical detectors placed on the scalp to record these small changes in electrical activity.
