Profile: Medlens Innovations, LLC is a wholesaler and manufacturer of medical devices and contact lens. Our product line includes Hydrokone™, Jupiter™, K- max™, RevEyes™ and I-Kone®. Our Hydrokone™ is an alternative to rigid gas permeable lenses for fitting keratoconic eyes. The posterior surface of the lens consists of a steep central curve, flatter para-central curve, and a final peripheral curve. All curves are aspheric with the central curve computed by a complex polynomial formula; it approximates hyperbolic aspheres in larger sagittal depths. The para-central curve is similar in design to the base curve of a standard soft lens, and the 8.6 mm. radius curve with a 14.8 mm. diameter should fit majority of eyes. Our Jupiter™ Scleral falls into 2 main design categories- the 15 mm diameter (mini-scleral) series, and the 18 mm diameter series. Both series are true scleral lenses sharing the following characteristics: they bear on the sclera, and vault the cornea. A lens that bears on the cornea in any way is not a scleral lens, although it may be a corneo-scleral or semi-scleral lens.

• Contact Lens (FDA Code: HQD / 886.5916) A rigid gas permeable contact lens is a device intended to be worn directly against the cornea of the eye to correct vision conditions. The device is made of various materials, such as cellulose acetate butyrate, polyacrylate-silicone, or silicone elastomers, whose main polymer molecules generally do not absorb or attract water. |
• Daily Wear Soft Contact Lenses (FDA Code: LPL / 886.5925) A soft (hydrophilic) contact lens is a device intended to be worn directly against the cornea and adjacent limbal and scleral areas of the eye to correct vision conditions or act as a therapeutic bandage. The device is made of various polymer materials the main polymer molecules of which absorb or attract a certain volume (percentage) of water. |
