Profile: Minimally Invasive Devices, LLC specializes in developing surgical tools. Our FloShield™ is a device used to improve visualization. It prevents condensation which forms on the end of the laparoscope during surgery. It further reduces or eliminates the tendency for aerosolized debris. Our fragmentation and extraction basket is a device that fragments, captures, and then continues to fragment impassable stones in the ureter. It permits reliable fragmentation of captured ureteral stones by enabling the surgeon, with a single device, to manage almost all foreseeable events, once the stone is visualized through the ureteroscope.
