Profile: Mira Inc. is a firm that deals with scleral buckling components, ophthalmic cryo, ophthalmic diathermy, scleral transillumination and binocular-indirect opthalmoscope. We offer a wide range of scleral buckling implants fabricated from two different silicone materials, silicone sponge and solid silicone. The solid silicone is designed to provide the appropriate softness and tensile strength. The silicone sponge implants are produced from a small-cell medical grade elastomer sponge. Our ophthalmic cryo system design is based on the Joule-Thompson principle using either N2O or CO2. It provides a rapid freeze and thaw tip-freeze-only probe that produces delicate intracellular crystal formations. These smaller crystals result in less destruction and minimize the potential for inadvertent freezing of extra ocular tissue.

• Absorbable Implant (FDA Code: HQJ / 886.3300)
An absorbable implant (scleral buckling method) is a device intended to be implanted on the sclera to aid retinal reattachment.
• AC-Powered Ophthalmoscope (FDA Code: HLI / 886.1570)
An ophthalmoscope is an AC-powered or battery-powered device containing illumination and viewing optics intended to examine the media (cornea, aqueous, lens, and vitreous) and the retina of the eye.
• AC-Powered Radiofrequency Cautery Apparatus (FDA Code: HQR / 886.4100)
A radiofrequency electrosurgical cautery apparatus is an AC-powered or battery-powered device intended for use during ocular surgery to coagulate tissue or arrest bleeding by a high frequency electric current.
• AC-Powered Transilluminator (FDA Code: HJM / 886.1945)
A transilluminator is an AC-powered or battery-powered device that is a light source intended to transmit light through tissues to aid examination of patients.
• Battery-Powered Radiofrequency Cautery Apparatus (FDA Code: HQQ / 886.4100)
• Cryo Surgery Equipment
• Cryophthalmic Unit (FDA Code: HPS / 886.4170)
A cryophthalmic unit is a device that is a probe with a small tip that becomes extremely cold through the controlled use of a refrigerant or gas. The device may be AC-powered. The device is intended to remove cataracts by the formation of an adherent ice ball in the lens, to freeze the eye and adjunct parts for surgical removal of scars, and to freeze tumors.
• Cryosurgical Unit (FDA Code: GEH / 878.4350)
• Cryotherapy Unit (FDA Code: HQA / 886.4170)
