Profile: Mtm Laboratories Ag develops and manufactures products for the early detection and diagnosis of cervical and other cancers. Our products include Cinetec® histology, Cntec® cytology and Cervatec™. The Cintec® histology kit is an immunohistochemistry assay for the detection of the p16INK4a antigen on slides prepared from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded cervical biopsies. p16INK4a is a biomarker directly indicating the oncogenic activity of high risk human papilloma virus that may result in the generation of cervical cancer. The Cintec® cytology kit is a qualitative, immunocytochemical assay for the evaluation of over-expressed cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor, p16INK4a protein, on cervical cytology specimens. Cervatec™ Elisa is a test for cervical cancer screening. It is intended to be used in addition to the pap test for women aged 35 and younger.
