Profile: Naviscan Inc. manufactures and distributes organ-specific molecular imaging scanners. The PEM scanner is an optimized PET scanner designed to provide unprecedented metabolic visualization of small body parts. Our positron emission mammography or breast PET is the application of high- resolution PET technology to an isolated immobilized breast producing tomographic images of lesions with resolution down to 2 mm. The PEM flex scanner brings a metabolic perspective to breast patient care complementing the existing anatomical imaging modalities. Our PEM-guided biopsy with Stereo Navigator® is indicated for the localization of lesions in female breasts, as identified on a PET image. It enables physicians to guide compatible interventional devices towards abnormalities visible on PET.
