Profile: Nidek Technologies Srl designs and develops equipments & software systems for diagnostic ophthalmology. Our Confoscan 4 is a confocal scanning microscope that allows to inspect human corneal layers. It is used to conduct in-vivo analysis of the cellular layers of anterior parts of the eye with high magnification. The confocal arrangement consists of one slit that illuminates the tissue and a second slit that filters the reflected light from unfocused layers. Our Orion is an automatic non-mydriatic fundus camera, which works without the assistance of an operator. It senses the presence of a patient and takes several images representing different fields of the retina.
