Profile: Optikon 2000 S.p.A. designs and develops equipments for ophthalmology. Our HiScan is a PC-based system, providing full featured software and equipped with a complete range of probes. It performs contact and immersion biometries & diagnostic A-Scan. The acquired images and the results of patient's examinations are stored in Access™ compatible database. The kinetic B-scan mode displays movements like accommodation of the ciliary muscles and lens or IOL shifting. The high gain mode enables analysis of vitreal heterogeneity and corpuscles. Our diagnostic A-Scan is provided through 8 MHz probe. The diagnostic A-Scan probe is unfocused with S-shaped amplification curve to measure and diagnose injuries. We offer a very wide number of cryopencils all autoclavable, both for retinal, endovitreal, glaucoma and cataract extraction. Cryo-Line unit is provided with full control of the incoming pressure of the cooling nitrous oxide, to allow a precise set of freezing parameters. A built-in timer allows the surgeon to control the application. Our 23G vitrectomy system is used for vitreo-retinal surgery. It comes from research to combine advantages of 20G & 25G vitrectomy and reduces drawbacks from both.

The company is ISO 9001 and CE certified.
