Profile: Pega Medical Inc. develops orthopedic implants for children. Our product includes Fassier-Duval telescopic intramedullary system™, Osteotomy System™ and pediatric plating system. Our Fassier-Duval telescopic intramedullary system is a rod designed for patients suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta, skeletal dysplasia and other bone deformities. It is designed for the femur, tibia and humerus. This implant is indicated as a temporary implant to aid in the healing of long diaphysis fractures, osteotomies, malunions and nonunions. Our osteotomy system is a set of surgical instruments. Its focal dome beam compass is based on the CORA method and utilizes a continuously variable radius. Our pediatric plating system is designed to correct deformities in growing children. This plate is intended to fix pediatric mal-alignment through a less-invasive, gentle correction, and by fixing the plate on either side of the physeal plate so that axial growth can be controlled and angular deformity is corrected.

The company is IS0 9001 certified.

A smooth or threaded metallic bone fixation fastener is a device intended to be implanted that consists of a stiff wire segment or rod made of alloys, such as cobalt-chromium-molybdenum and stainless steel, and that may be smooth on the outside, fully or partially threaded, straight or U-shaped; and may be either blunt pointed, sharp pointed, or have a formed, slotted head on the end. It may be used for fixation of bone fractures, for bone reconstructions, as a guide pin for insertion of other implants, or it may be implanted through the skin so that a pulling force (traction) may be applied to the skeletal system.
