Profile: Preiser Scientific is a supplier of scientific instruments, laboratory equipment and supplies. Model HR-120 is an easy-to-use analytical balance that is durable, adapts to the environment, and provides flexibility & resolution. It operates on 100, 120, 220, or 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz. Options include an (RS-232C/current loop) serial interface, a 20mA current loop interface, and a rechargeable battery pack (NiMH). Automatic sulfur analyzer uses oxidative combustion and a non-dispersive solid-state infrared detection system. It uses a micro-computer system, an external electronic balance, a high temperature furnace, and other microprocessor controlled systems to rapidly & accurately determine the sulfur content. All analyzer operations are controlled by the operator through an interactive flat panel touch-screen display. This graphically based operator interface is designed to allow easy, straightforward operation of the analyzer with minimal operator training. Each crucible on the carousel rotates to the furnace entry position and an elevator then lifts it into the furnace where the sample is incinerated at 1,300 Celsius in an oxygen gas stream. Vertical tube furnace design increases combustion tube longevity by minimizing thermal shock.
The company was founded in 1924, has revenues of USD 5-10 Million, has ~40 employees and is ISO 9001 certified.

• Fluorometers (FDA Code: JZT / 866.4520) Immunofluorometer equipment for clinical use with its electrical power supply is a device used to measure the fluorescence of fluorochrome-labeled antigen-antibody complexes. The concentration of these complexes may be measured by means of reflected light. A beam of light is passed through a solution in which a fluorochrome has been selectively attached to serum protein antibody molecules in suspension. The amount of light emitted by the fluorochrome label is detected by a photodetector, which converts light energy into electrical energy. The amount of electrical energy registers on a readout system such as a digital voltmeter or a recording chart. This electrical readout is called the fluorescence value and is used to measure the concentration of antigen-antibody complexes. |
