Profile: Randolph Engineering manufactures and distributes sunglasses, shooting eyewear, and prescription frames. Our products include the Ranger Series, Sunglass Series, Rx Series, Military Direct and eyewear accessories. The RE® Ranger series lenses are designed to protect the eyes while highlighting the target and increasing overall contrast. Rangers are made with distortion-free optical-grade polycarbonate which provides the desired level of protection. The Rx Series is for the prescription wearer. Clip-on polycarbonate sun lenses are available for limited styles to convert prescription eyewear into sunglasses on the go. All of our lenses absorb 98-100 per cent of harmful ultraviolet rays and allow a range of 12-18 per cent of visible light to pass through, which is the ideal comfort level for the eyes. Our mineral glass lenses are exceptionally scratch-resistant, and will provide absolute distortion-free clarity. They are also precision ground and chemically tempered for impact resistance that exceeds ANSI Z-803 standards. Our nose pads are made of soft silicone to prevent the frames from slipping, even during heavy perspiration. We use the best components and special alloys, with tight molecular structure to eliminate rusting and oxidation. We have supplied our handcrafted sunglasses to the US military and Air Forces. We also offer ColorMag™ technology which uses photo-active materials in the lens coating to amplify only the orange region of the light spectrum, increasing the contrast between the target and its background.
