Profile: Respiratory Technology Corporation deals in research, development and supply of medical devices. Our Dx-pH measurement system™ is a revolutionary system that measures real-time liquid and aerosolized pH in the oropharynx. Restech's system is currently installed in over 100 institutions nationwide and is slighted to enter the international market by no later than the end of the year of 2008. Over the last two years, physicians and researchers from University of Southern California, Vanderbilt University, Emory University, Scripps Health, Medical College of Georgia, Medical College of Wisconsin and Massachusetts Eye and Ear have performed numerous studies comparing Restechs' sensitivity, specificity, and overall performance against traditional 'gold standard' esophageal probes. Dr. Michael Vaezi of Vanderbilt concluded that The normative values for the new Dx-pH catheter probe compares favorable to the accepted gold standard monitoring device. The USC clinical study concluded with publication of a scoring method for airway pH measurement -- the RYAN Score, named after Tom Ryan DeMeester, MD, head of the USC research team and creator of ambulatory pH measurement. From the study results, the Restech Dx-pH Measurement System has become the new gold standard for airway pH measurement. Further studies are being constructed that will include cohort institutions across the US and will stratify disease levels with pH thresholds to create more exacting measures. Our new software DataView Lite TM incorporates these values into a built in RYAN Score calculator to further aid physicians in analysis of a patient's pH levels. We are also now GSA contracted, and can be found by searching under the contract number V797p4044b.
