Profile: Rubicor Medical, Inc. is a medical device company focused on the development and commercialization of minimally invasive breast biopsy and tissue removal technologies. Our products are flash, halo, gentlewrap and phantom. Our flash provides minimally invasive single-insertion and multi-sample breast biopsy. It is the only breast biopsy device of its kind, which allows the physician to easily take and view multiple samples with a single insertion and one-touch operation. Guided by ultrasound, flash utilizes real-time visualization and automated sampling to obtain solid, contiguous biopsy cores. Our halo provides whole and complete breast tumor tissue removal in the comfort of the physician's office. The device utilizes an RF-powered loop and a small collection bag to excise & remove abnormal tissue in a percutaneous, office-based procedure. The physician makes a small puncture in the skin, inserts the halo device and rotates the device loop around the tissue to cut & capture the targeted lesion to remove it from the patient's body. Our gentlewrap can be used by any breast procedure to minimize post-procedure events such as hematoma formation, site drainage and discomfort.
