Profile: Spectralytics Incorporated offers laser cutting, polishing and annealing of medical devices including stents & catheter components. We provide contract manufacturing for precision micromachining, welding, cutting, drilling and ablation of metal, plastic and composites. We have two separate groups to metal cutting applications. The metals which are subjected to laser cutting are used in medical industry for multiple applications. We offer cutting hypotubing service for stents, coronary & peripheral, spiral cut catheter components and endoscopic tools. Our laser metal welding service is used in making orthopedic implants, sealed catheter tips and stent welding. We also offer serializing and part marking service for traceability in medical applications. The marks are permanent part of the material without adding any foreign substances and the parts can be passivated after laser marking. Locating marks are also commonly laser marked to allow clinicians to be able to visually identify the device location.
