It is actually a small sheet of latex. Dental dams come in varied colors & taste, to make oral sex more enjoyable and safer. They act as a barrier between the vagina or anus, and the mouth. They are an extremely effective means of preventing infection from vaginal or anal secretions, and provide some protection against the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Our oral dams are similar to dental dams, but much thinner in thickness.
