Profile: Stony brook, Inc. provides sil-ophtho, which is a viscosity silicone oil used as a lubricant for ocular prosthesis. This silicone lubricant is a valuable aid to artificial eye wearers. It relieves irritation and discomfort. Our sil-ophtho is available in two viscosities. Sil-ophtho, available in medium-15 ml bottle, is a viscosity dimethylpolysiloxane silicone preparation and it is preferred by the largest percent of prosthesis wearers for relief of subjective & objective irritation, discharge & crusting. Sil-ophtho, available in heavy-15 ml bottle, is a heavy viscosity dimethylpolysiloxane silicone preparation. It is indispensable for some, and should be tried where Sil-ophtho, medium has not given adequate relief.
