Profile: Vygon Neuro designs, develops and manufactures medical products for patients, doctors & hospitals. Diamond valves and shunt systems are designed to provide one-way flow control for shunting cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) from the ventricles of the brain. The valve assembly is comprised of two silicone elastometer, differential pressure valve mechanisms in series, connected by an elastic tube, with an aperture in the side wall, which acts as a flow regulating mechanism. The valve mechanism is contained within an integral silicone elastomer chamber with an integral suture base. Each differential pressure valve mechanism consists of a silicone elastomer dome with two crossed slits in polysulfone housing. The design of the valve mechanisms prevents retrograde flow to the brain. The valve housings incorporate integral proximal and distal connectors for easy catheter connection. The Anti-Blok ventricular catheter is designed with four axial channels at the tip, each with recessed rectangular molded holes. The channels promote free flow of CSF and discourage occlusion of the holes by debris, tissue, choroid plexus or ventricle walls. Vision catheters are manufactured of clear tubing with an encapsulated barium stripe allowing the physician to check for air bubbles in the system prior to closing. The encapsulated barium does not come into contact with CSF or tissue and therefore is not susceptible to complication associated with barium catheters.

• Peritoneal Catheter (FDA Code: GBW / 878.4200)
An introduction/drainage catheter is a device that is a flexible single or multilumen tube intended to be used to introduce nondrug fluids into body cavities other than blood vessels, drain fluids from body cavities, or evaluate certain physiologic conditions. Examples include irrigation and drainage catheters, pediatric catheters, peritoneal catheters (including dialysis), and other general surgical catheters. An introduction/drainage catheter accessory is intended to aid in the manipulation of or insertion of the device into the body. Examples of accessories include adaptors, connectors, and catheter needles.
• Shunt System Implantation Instrument (FDA Code: GYK / 882.4545)
A shunt system implantation instrument is an instrument used in the implantation of cerebrospinal fluid shunts, and includes tunneling instruments for passing shunt components under the skin.
• Ventricular Catheters (FDA Code: HCA / 882.4100)
A ventricular catheter is a device used to gain access to the cavities of the brain for injection of material into, or removal of material from, the brain.
