Profile: Walls Precision Instruments, LLC. provides CDT® speculum. The CDT® speculum attaches to Welch Allyn® otoscopes to provide a stable platform for tympanocentesis with aspiration. It is a sterile, disposable tympanocentesis kit with engineered safety features that protect both patient and practitioner. Our CDT® is the tympanocentesis instrumentation that complies with current OSHA standards for prevention of accidental needle-sticks. In this the safety latch prevents unintended needle extension, and allows for sharps disposal without disassembly. Needle extension is limited to a maximum of 15 mm, which prevents the needle from being extended too far into the middle ear cavity.
