Profile: Wink Lens Technologies concentrates exclusively on the manufacturing and distribution of polarized lenses to the sunglass industry. The mechanical properties inherent in polycarbonate coupled with laminated polarizing film make our injection molded products and thermoformed products ideally suitable for all active sport sun wear applications. Our thermoformed polarized polycarbonate products have good filtering properties blocking 100 per cent of harmful UVA and UVB up to 400 NM, and do not distort colors. Our 1.5 mm and 1.1 mm polycarbonate products offer impact resistance, long life, true color viewing, and high polarizing efficiency. Triacetate cellulose (TAC) is an optical material that delivers a good visual performance. It has good optical qualities and high polarizing efficiency. Our triacetate lenses offer UVA & UVB protection up to 400 nm and are also available as photochromic lenses. We can also apply specialty coatings to our products including mirrors, anti-reflective, hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings. Vanguard Polarized is our new series of lenses which use Japanese patented polarizing film. The lenses are pure polycarbonate and exceed ANSI Z87.1, AS 1337, and EN 166 specifications. They offer more than 98 per cent polarizing efficiency. We offer Toric lenses in polarized polycarbonate in two combinations of base curves to allow the lenses to better conform to the natural shape of the human face. We also offer photochromic lenses for customers who use their sunglasses for multiple purposes. These lenses change colors to suit the weather conditions & brightness, turning dark in the sun and clearer in the shade.
