Profile: X-Cel Optical Co. supplies semi-finished ophthalmic lens products. Our product area includes freedom ID, freedom 5 progressive lenses, freedom fashions fit progressive, autumn gold lenses, lens materials & treatments, filter glass for discontinued styles, lens options for discontinued styles, high-X and Aris Trivex lenses. Our autumn gold lenses offer the ultimate in comfortable outdoor/indoor vision. The lenses are photochromic - they automatically change (darken and lighten by degree, depending on exposure to sunlight). When fully darkened, they are excellent sunglasses with a pleasing brown tint. When fully lightened, they have a medium golden or yellow tint. They provide unique feature of contrast enhancement, which makes fuzzy images look crisp and clear in cloudy, foggy or very bright environments. They absorb potentially harmful ultra violet rays, are blue light blockers and are made of the most durable and scratch resistant lens material. Our freedom fashions fit progressive includes ray trace technology (vision simulation) which permits the measurement, consideration and control of more ophthalmic variables.

The company was founded in 1937, has revenues of USD 25-50 Million, has ~180 employees.
