Profile: XDx, Inc. is a molecular diagnostics company. The molecular diagnostic assays based on gene expression patterns in blood cells provide clinically useful information. The gene expression patterns reflect the activity of genes in the various blood cell types at the time the sample was taken. Overall gene activity in a blood sample can be affected by drugs, immune activation, inflammation, or by recruitment of new cells from the bone marrow. The gene expression is initially evaluated using micro arrays, which take advantage of the recently defined sequence of the entire human genome to assess the expression of most genes in the genome on a single glass slide. We also offer AlloMap® molecular expression testing and other products.

• Cardiac Allograft Gene Expression Profiling Test System (FDA Code: OJQ / 862.1163) A cardiac allograft gene expression profiling test system is a device that measures the ribonucleic acid (RNA) expression level of multiple genes and combines this information to yield a signature (pattern, classifier, index, score) to aid in the identification of a low probability of acute cellular rejection (ACR) in heart transplant recipients with stable allograft function. |
