It reduces the ambient noise & minimizes the occlusion effect in bone conduction tests. It comfortably fits to all patients of all ages. The Eartone 5A insert earphone 410-500 allows testing at higher frequencies and is more durable & is considerably less expensive than the 3A models. The probe tubes are made up of inter acoustics equipment & the Madsen aurical which includes a marker ring on each tube for marking the ear canal depth.
