Cryosurgical systems are indicated for minimally invasive cardiac surgical procedures, including the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. These systems typically use liquid nitrogen or nitrous oxide as coolant fluids. Liquid nitrogen is usually either sprayed onto the tissue to be destroyed, or it is circulated to cool a probe, which is applied to the tissue. Liquid nitrogen has an extremely low temperature of approximately 77 K, and a high cooling capacity, making it very desirable for this purpose.

Daily wear soft contact lenses are the perfect solution for people with vision problems who do not wish to have surgery and do not like the feel and visual appearance of eyeglasses. It is made of polymer-plastic materials that are flexible. It allows oxygen to pass through to the cornea, and provides great comfort. It is easy to adjust.
Identification. A soft (hydrophilic) contact lens is a device intended to be worn directly against the cornea and adjacent limbal and scleral areas of the eye to correct vision conditions or act as a therapeutic bandage. The device is made of various polymer materials the main polymer molecules of which absorb or attract a certain volume (percentage) of water.
Classification. (1) Class II if the device is intended for daily wear only.

Diagnostic contact lenses are used to determine the best fit with eyes. This is aided with the use of corneal topography. These specially designed contacts can reshape the cornea because of several unique curvatures ground onto their back surface. These surfaces mold the tissue called the cornea. The lenses are made of a highly oxygen permeable material.

Digital fundus photography produces digital images of back of the eye. It is a highly specialized form of medical imaging, it can't be done with an ordinary camera. It requires a customized camera that is mounted to a microscope with intricate lenses and mirrors. These high-powered lenses are designed so the photographer can visualize the back of the eye by focusing light through the cornea, pupil and lens. These photographs are used for comparison, documentation, and sometimes to diagnose certain eye conditions.
