Toe caps are used to protect toes from blisters, rubbing, and irritation & toenail loss. It serves as a cushion by preventing toes from having direct contact with inside of the shoe. It reduces friction and eliminates the shear forces of rubbing.

Knee surgery implants, patella is used for fixation to the remaining portion of a natural patella and for sliding over a femoral articulating member. This patella implant includes an upper surface, typically convex, for sliding over the femoral articulating member, typically a groove, and a concave undersurface for fixation to the remaining portion of the natural patella.

Knotless suture anchor is suitable for the attachment or reattachment or repair of tissue to a bone mass. It allows for an endoscopic or open surgical procedure to take place without the requirement of tying a knot for reattachment of tissue to bone mass.

A laminar airflow system is an unidirectional ventilation system in which filtered, bacteria-free, ultraclean air is circulated over the patient from a filtered outlet and returned through a receiving air inlet. Air is filtered through high efficiency particulate air filters that remove all particles equal to or greater than 0.3 microns with an efficiency of 99.7%. It can deliver upwards of 200 air exchanges an hour. It is used most often for procedures such as total joint replacement.

Laminar orthopedic cushions make longer seating periods possible and provide the extra pressure relief needed to counteract extreme soreness and fatigue. Laminar provides the ultimate in seating comfort and performance.

Large external fixator is used for external fracture stabilization at extremities with soft tissue injuries. It is ideal for trauma, foot and ankle or deformity and leg lengthening correction. It is particularly suitable for the treatment of lower limbs. It is intended for rapid, initial immobilization of soft tissue injuries and fractures in severely injured patients.

Identification. A cranial orthosis is a device that is intended for medical purposes to apply pressure to prominent regions of an infant's cranium in order to improve cranial symmetry and/or shape in infants from 3 to 18 months of age, with moderate to severe nonsynostotic positional plagiocephaly, including infants with plagiocephalic-, brachycephalic-, and scaphocephalic-shaped heads.

Classification. Class II (special controls) (prescription use in accordance with 801.109 of this chapter, biocompatibility testing, and labeling (contraindications, warnings, precautions, adverse events, instructions for physicians and parents)).

Lateral tibial insert is slightly concave and is posteriorly sloped to promote natural femoral external rotation during knee flexion.

Lavage systems are of considerable value when frequent topical treatment of the eye is required. It can be inserted in the sedated conscious horse following infiltration with local anaesthetic, or at the end of any surgical procedure under general anaesthesia. These devices are made commercially and two types are available: single entry and double entry. The single entry type has a footplate, which surrounds a small central hole at the end of the delivery tubing; the double entry type has two holes located in the distal part of the delivery tubing. Lavage systems can also be made from pliable polyethylene tubing of minimum length 20 cm, which is then positioned in the upper eyelid using a trochar or a large 12-14 gauge needle from which the hub is removed.

Leg positioner frees the OR staff to be more productive. It eliminates the need for 2nd assistants to hold the leg, while enabling surgeons and staff to focus on the procedure instead of leg positioning. It allows the surgeon to place the leg in any position required for knee surgery and have it automatically lock in place. An ergonomic unlocking lever allows the leg to be easily repositioned by grasping the leg and moving it to the desired location where it automatically locks.
