Laser Microkeratome
Laser microkeratome is intended for use in the creation of a corneal flap by producing short bursts of laser pulses. It is a safe and effective alternative for LASIK flap creation. It offers an accurate, reproducible way to make even very thin flaps, which are precisely centered and have extremely smooth beds.

Laser photorefractive keratectomy system
Laser photorefractive keratectomy system is designed to produce a smooth keratectomy bed, to minimise the healing response, and to reduce the regression of the refractive result. It is intended to correct a person's vision and reduce his dependency on glasses or contact lenses. The laser removes layers of corneal tissue to flatten the cornea, reducing myopia and astigmatism.

Laser retinoscope
Laser retinoscope is used for measuring the refractive condition of a patient's eyes. It uses a He-Ne laser as its light source. By using a polarized laser the specular reflections from the eye are completely suppressed. The retinoscope lends itself to refractions under normal room illumination. Patients find the light from the laser retinoscope less bothersome than that of the usual tungsten filament lamp.

Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope
Laser scanning confocal microscope allows users to perform three-dimensional microscopy of fluorescently labeled specimens or reflective surfaces. This is accomplished by imaging objects through a small pinhole aperture, thereby preventing detection of all light except for that originating from a thin optical section. By collecting a series of optical sections through the thickness of the specimen, images of its three-dimensional organization can be collected, assembled, and evaluated using specialized reconstruction software. Confocal microscopy is particularly well suited to the examination of thick specimens. It is also a useful tool for materials scientists interested in topological characterization of surfaces.

Laser Surgical Systems, Photocoagulator Lasers
Laser surgical systems, Photocoagulator laser is a laser combined with an ophthalmoscope for directing bursts of coherent light through a human eye to burn selected points on a detached retina. The subsequent healing of the burns causes scars that weld the retina back into position.

Laser Thermokeratoplasty (LTK)
Laser thermokeratoplasty (LTK) is used to treat farsightedness and astigmatism. During this procedure a laser beam uses heat to shrink and reshape the cornea. Vision is corrected in a matter of seconds, without any cutting or removal of tissue.

Laser-Based Point Scanning Confocal Microscopes
In laser-based point scanning confocal microscope, the excitation laser source is scanned across the specimen in a point-by-point raster pattern, so that, over time, a complete image of the focal plane is collected. The emitted light is then collected by the objective, passed through a pinhole aperture and detected by a photomultiplier tube (PMT). The resulting image is reconstructed and displayed by a computer. It offers some extraordinary advantages. It allows extremely thin optical sectioning of specimens, permitting the viewing of structures and intracellular features. It offers the highest level of confocality and the ability to do very thin optical sections.

Latanoprost Ophthalmic Solution
Latanoprost ophthalmic solution is used to treat high pressure inside the eye due to glaucoma or other eye diseases. It is similar to a natural chemical in the body (prostaglandin) and works by regulating the flow of fluid within the eye, which results in lower pressure. Lowering high pressure inside the eye helps to prevent blindness.

LB Agar Plates
LB agar plate is a generic rich media suitable for growing many aerotolerant species of bacteria, including E. coli, Bacillus subtilius, Staphylococcus auerus or Staphylococcus epidermidis and different yeasts including Saccharomyces and Candida species. Many kinds of molds can also grow.

LB Broth
LB Broth is a nutritionally rich medium used for maintaining and cultivating recombinant strains of Escherichia coli. These strains are generally derived from E. coli K12, which are deficient in B vitamin production. It contains half the sodium chloride level of the Miller formulation of LB Borth. This allows the researcher to select the optimal salt concentration for a specific strain.

Lens Cleaner
Contact Lens Cleaners are for cleaning and maintenance of contact lenses. There are several different types of contact lens cleaners, and their uses are typically restricted to a specific type of contact lens. The most commonly used contact lens cleaner is the multi-purpose solution. They clean, disinfect and rinse all at once and can be used for contact lens storage. Hydrogen peroxide-based contact lens cleaners are also common. These cleaners disinfect the contact lens, removing bacteria and microorganisms that can adversely affect eye health. After using hydrogen peroxide-based contact lens cleaners, the lens must be rinsed prior to insertion or burning and irritation can occur. Ezymatic contact lens cleaners are a method of removing protein buildup on the surface of contact lenses. They are small tablets designed to dissolve in storage solution that the contact lens is soaked in overnight. Protein buildup will affect the performance and comfort of contact lenses, and if it is not removed at regular intervals, it can also affect eye health.

Lens Edging Systems
Lens Edging System computer numerical control machine system for edging lenses controls the rotation and displacement of a lens workpiece with respect to a edging tool in accordance with a lens shape stored in memory. The system continuously translates the lens workpiece axially across the surface of the wheel to uniformly distribute wear across the wheel surface, reducing the need to dress the edging tool. The system compares the lens size with predetermined dimensions and compenates for any difference by automatically adjusting the lens trajectory during the edging of subsequent lens workpieces, permitting the edging tool to wear down without appreciable errors in lens size. The system controls the edging tool speed, the lens rotation rate, the lens axial feed velocity and the grinding force between the lens workpiece and the wheel at each discrete point during the entire lens edging operation to optimize production while preventing overheating of the lens workpiece. The optimum values for these parameters are empirically determined in a preparatory programmed trial and error learning process of the invention.

Lens Grooving Devices
Lens grooving device is a multipurpose apparatus for drilling, engraving and carving ophthalmic lenses. The apparatus comprises a base in which is mounted an electrical motor and a tool holder is connected to the shaft of the motor for detachably mounting a drilling, engraving or carving end mill above the upper surface of the base. A working support is also mounted on the upper surface of the base for maintaining and supporting the lenses in the various positions in which they must stand in order to be easily drilled, engraved or carved. The apparatus may advantageously be connected to a vacuum source for sucking out particles resulting from the drilling, carving or engraving operation through the small opening from which projects end mill and the upwardly expanding portion of the L-shaped tube. The apparatus may also comprise one or more lens guides adjustably mounted onto the guide holder for laterally guiding or retaining the lenses with respect to the end mill.

Lens Polishing Machines
Lens Polishing Device is used for the final process of lens production and is accomplished on a pitch-covered iron tool coated with jeweler's rouge and water. After polishing, the lens is edged by grinding the edge until the physical center and the optical center of the lens coincide. In this process, the lens is mounted in the headstock of a lathe, so that its optical center is on the axis of revolution, and the edges are trued with a strip of brass charged with abrasive.
