Scanning confocal microscopes is a non-contact optical imaging profiler. The extremely high light efficiency of the illumination hardware and the high contrast algorithms are the main advantages of confocal arrangement, which make the system ideal for measuring steep slopes, rough and low reflective surfaces and samples containing dissimilar materials. It offers a very broad range of magnifications and numerical apertures.

Scanning Ophthalmoscope an instrument for retinal imaging in which the retina is scanned by a low-power laser and the reflected light is used to create a digital image. Basically ophthalmoscope is used for examining the interior of the eye. It sends a bright, narrow beam of light through the lens of the eye, and contains a perforated mirror and lenses through which the veterinarian can examine interior parts of the eye. It is helpful in detecting possible disorders of the eyes, as well as disorders of other organs that are reflected in the condition of the eyes

Selective laser trabeculoplasty is a great advance in the surgical treatment of intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma. It works by using a specific wavelength to irradiate and target only the melanin-containing cells in the trabecular meshwork, without incurring collateral thermal damage to adjacent non-pigmented trabecular meshwork cells and underlying trabecular beams. When treated with SLT, a primarily biologic response is induced in the trabecular meshwork, which involves the release of cytokines that trigger macrophage recruitment and other changes leading to IOP reduction.

Silicone foldable IOL is used in the early rehabilitation, earlier stabilization of refraction and reduction in induced astigmatism. It can be folded by the help of special instruments like forceps or cartridges and can be inserted through an incision smaller than its optic size.

Silicone Hydrogel lenses are healthier than conventional soft lenses because they allow up to 6 times more oxygen to pass through them and increased oxygen transmission results in better overall eye health. Advantages of silicone hydrogel lenses over conventional soft lenses include more resistance to protein deposits, less drying of the lenses, lower risk of eye infection, easier handling due to increased rigidity of material, and much lower incidence of complications with extended wear use (overnight wear). The conveniences of 30 days continuous wear, as well as the lowered incidence of eye health complications are quickly making silicone hydrogels a better choice for both eye care practitioners as well as patients.

Slit lamp adapter is a diode laser system used to activate a light sensitive (photoactivated) drug called visudyne. This therapy may help delay vision loss in patients with an eye disorder called subfoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV). CNV is an irreversible eye disorder in which the abnormal growth of new blood vessels in the eye causes swelling and scar tissue that result in vision loss.
