Heated Humidifiers are designed to accept an electrically insulated heated wire, which is used in breathing circuits to prevent condensation of the humidified gases and enhance humidification. Heated humidifiers require actively heated delivery tubes.

Herbicide is a chemical pesticide designed to control or destroy plants, weeds, or grasses. Herbicides tend to have wide-ranging effects on non-target species.

A Herb is a plant that is valued for qualities such as medicinal properties, flavor and scent. Herbs have a variety of uses including culinary, medicinal. The green, leafy part of the plant is often used, but herbal medicine makes use of the roots, flowers, seeds, root bark, inner bark (cambium), berries and sometimes the pericarp or other portions. General usage differs between culinary herbs and medicinal herbs. A medicinal herb may be a shrub or other woody plant, whereas a culinary herb is a non-woody plant, typically using the leaves. Any of the parts of the plant, as well as any edible fruits or vegetables, might be considered 'herbs' in medicinal or spiritual use. Culinary use of the term 'herb' is much more specific and narrow. Culinary use typically distinguishes between herbs, the leafy green parts of the plant, and spices, all the other parts of the plant, including seeds, berries, bark, root, fruit, and even occasionally leaves. Culinary herbs are distinguished from vegetables in that they are used in small amounts and provide flavor (similar to spices) rather than substance to food. Any plant contains numerous phytochemicals that have varying effects on the body. Even when consumed in the small levels that typify culinary 'spicing', there may be some effects, and some herbs are toxic in larger quantities. Some types of herbal extract, such as the extract of Hypericum perforatum or the Piper methysticum (kava plant) can be used for medical purposes to relieve depression and stress. But high amounts of these herbs may lead to poisoning, and should be used with caution.

High frequency ventilator is an automatic mechanical device designed to provide all or part of the work the body must produce to move gas into and out of the lungs. It is used to produce high frequency, low amplitude breaths. These are generally used on patients with respiratory distress syndrome. These are also on patients that have lungs that leak air.

The Home Health Kit or home emergency kit consists of many items. The list focuses on the basics of survival that comprises of fresh water, food, clean air and materials to maintain body warmth. The basic emergency kit items include water, at least one gallon of water per person for each day for drinking & sanitation food, non-perishable food for at least three days which is not required to be cooked or refrigerated, first aid kit, first aid book, and a sleeping bag or warm blanket for each person. For people in cold climates, additional clothing is recommended. For people in warm climates and/or during the summer months, sunscreen is recommended. Other items that may be useful include household chlorine bleach and medicine dropper, to use as a disinfectant and emergency water purifier, a fire extinguisher, matches and feminine hygiene items.

Identification. A pediatric hospital bed is a device intended for medical purposes that consists of a bed or crib designed for the use of a pediatric patient, with fixed end rails and movable and latchable side rails. The contour of the bed surface may be adjustable.

Classification. Class II (special controls). The device is exempt from the premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807 of this chapter subject to 880.9.
