Pacemaker Transmitter Kits (2 suppliers)
Pacemaker Transmitter Kits is a battery-powered device that sends electrical signals to heart, which helps it to beat at a proper rate or "pace″. The pacemaker goes under the skin, beneath the collarbone and is connected to heart by one or more wires. It is used to treat bradycardia and a trial fibrillation associated with bradycardia. Bradycardia is an arrhythmia that is caused when electrical signals are not produced at a fast enough paces by the SA node or these signals do not reach the ventricle. It causes an abnormally slow heartbeat. The pacemaker delivers regulated electric signals to the heart muscle to restore a normal heartbeat rate.

Piezoelectric Materials (1 supplier)
Piezoelectric Materials create electrical charge when mechanically stressed. Natural materials with this property are quartz, human skin, and human bone. In medical field this material is used as medical sensors and low power medical devices. The material is specifically formulated with high coupling values and high dielectric properties and is well suited for thin and small parts. Applications include sensors for catheters, blood pressure, auditory sounds, vascular flow, and medical imaging. Depending on the design of a sensor, different 'modes' to load the piezoelectric element can be used: longitudinal, transversal and shear. Detection of pressure variations in the form of sound is the most common sensor application. Piezoelectric microphones (sound waves bend the piezoelectric material, creating a changing voltage) and piezoelectric pickups for electrically amplified guitars. A piezo sensor attached to the body of an instrument is known as a contact microphone.Piezoelectric sensors especially are used with high frequency sound in ultrasonic transducers for medical imaging and also for industrial nondestructive testing.

Pocket Ophthalmoscope (7 suppliers)
Pocket Ophthalmoscope is used for examining the inner structure of the eye . The instrument consists of a concave mirror and a battery-powered light source within a tubular handle. The sighting is through a single or binocular eyepiece. The ophthalmoscope is equipped with a rotating disc of lenses to permit observation of the eye at varying depths and magnifications.

Phoropters (10 suppliers)
A Phoropter (or phoroptor) is an instrument commonly used by optometrists and ophthalmologists during an eye examination to measure an individual's refractive error and determine his or her eyeglass prescription. Sometimes a retinoscope or an automated refractor is used to provide initial settings for the phoropter. Phoropters can also measure phorias (natural resting position of the eyes), accommodative amplitudes, accommodative leads/lags, accommodative posture, horizontal and vertical vergences. The major components of the phoropter are the JCC (Jackson Cross-Cylinder) used for astigmatism correction, Risley prisms to measure phorias and vergences, and the (+), (-), and cylinder lenses. Propters are made with either plus or minus cylinders.

Phacoemulsificator (3 suppliers)
The Phaco-Emulsification simulation approach is integrated into a real-time virtual reality training system for cataract surgery. For the phacoemulsification task, we model the eye lens as a collection of simplices, built from a tetrahedron mesh, with mass particles placed in tetrahedrons barycenters. Links connecting particles are maintained in order to provide geometrical information for deriving the external triangular mesh for rendering, and for recognizing crystalline lens independent fragments when phacoemulsification is performed. The phacoemulsificator device is modeled by eroding particles.

Pigment Lesion Removal Lasers (10 suppliers)
The short pulse laser systems are used to treat pigmented lesions including freckles and birthmarks, congenital melanocytic naive, blue naive, naive of Ota/Ito and Becker naive. It effectively treat the lesions by confining their energy to the melanosomes, which are the tiny granules containing melanin inside the pigment cells. The results of laser treatment depend on the depth of the melanin and the colour of the lesion and are to some degree unpredictable. The superficially located pigment is treated with shorter wavelength lasers while removal of deeper pigment requires longer wavelength lasers that penetrate to greater tissue depths.

Pulse Oximetry Device (57 suppliers)
Pulse Oximetry Device is a medical device that indirectly measures the oxygen saturation of a patient's blood (as opposed to measuring oxygen saturation directly through a blood sample) and changes in blood volume in the skin, producing a photoplethysmograph. It is attached to a medical monitor to see a patient's oxygenation at all times. Most monitors also display the heart rate. Portable, battery operated pulse oximeters are also available for home blood oxygen monitoring. A blood-oxygen monitor displays the percentage of arterial hemoglobin in the oxyhemoglobin configuration. Acceptable normal ranges are from 95 to 100 percent, although values down to 90% are common. For a patient breathing room air, at not far above sea level, an estimate of arterial pO2 can be made from the blood-oxygen monitor SpO2 reading. A pulse oximeter is a particularly convenient non-invasive measurement instrument and has a pair of small light-emitting diodes (LEDs) facing a photodiode through a translucent part of the patient's body, usually a fingertip or an earlobe. One LED is red, with wavelength of 660 nm, and the other is infrared, 905, 910, or 940 nm. Absorption at these wavelengths differs significantly between oxyhemoglobin and its deoxygenated form, therefore from the ratio of the absorption of the red and infrared light the oxy/deoxyhemoglobin ratio can be calculated. The absorbance of oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin is the same (isosbestic point) for the wavelengths of 590 and 805 nm.

Physical Therapy Aids (22 suppliers)
Physical Therapy is a healthcare profession concerned with prevention, treatment and management of movement disorders arising from conditions and diseases occurring throughout the lifespan. Physical therapy is performed by either a physical therapist (PT) or a physical therapist assistant (PTA) acting under the direction of a PT. However, various non-PT health professionals employ the use of some physical therapeutic modalities in practice A program of physical therapy will typically also involve a patient's caregivers. PTs utilize a patient's history and physical examination in diagnosis and treatment, and if necessary, PTs will also incorporate the results of laboratory and imaging studies. Electrodiagnostic testing may also be of assistance. PTs practice in many settings, such as outpatient clinics or offices, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, extended care facilities, patient homes, education or research centers, schools, industrial workplaces or other occupational environments, fitness centers and sports training facilities.

Pharmaceutical Items (56 suppliers)
Pharmacutical items simply known as medication, also referred to as medicine, is usually a drug or any other substance used to prevent or cure disease or to relieve pain, anxiety or any form of perceived discomfort, such as hunger. Medication is often used to mean the act of administering medicines or drugs. Other synonyms include pharmacotherapy, pharmacotherapeutics and drug treatment. Drug treatment, that is the administration of drugs with therapeutic intention, usually characterizes and distinguishes the practice of medicine from the art of surgery. The science of administering drugs to humans in the clinical setting is termed clinical pharmacology.
