Intact PTH (5 suppliers)
Intact PTH is a test intended for the quantitative determination of intact-PTH (parathyroid hormone) in human serum. This assay is intended for in vitro diagnostic use. This assay is important for the differentiation of primary hyperparathyroidism from other (non-parathyroid-mediated) forms of hypercalcemia, such as malignancy, sarcoidosis and thyrotoxicosis.

Insulin (14 suppliers)
Insulin is a hormone released from the beta cells of the pancreas. Insulin's most important function is to facilitate glucose (blood sugar) uptake by a variety of tissues, especially adipose (fat) and skeletal muscle. Insulin also stimulates the synthesis and storage of triglycerides and proteins. Insulin is the most important regulator of blood glucose.

IVUS Catheters (3 suppliers)
IVUS catheters are tiny medical devices that, when inserted into a person's coronary arteries, reflect images from inside the coronary arteries to an attached console so that cardiologists can observe the location and amount of damage to the arteries from cholesterol buildup and other diseases. Cardiologists need this information for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

Irrigating Solutions (12 suppliers)
Irrigating solutions are intended for such purposes as irrigating wounds, moistening dressings, and cleaning surgical instruments. It is used in the dialysis of patients with such disorders as renal failure, poisoning, and electrolyte disturbances. It removes waste materials, serum electrolytes, and toxic products from the body.
| |
Intraocular Forceps (2 suppliers)
Intraocular forceps are designed to grasp and remove tissues or foreign bodies within the anterior chamber, posterior chamber, and within the vitreous. It has 1.5 to 2.0 mm jaws and long shafts. The shafts are also small in diameter to accommodate insertion into the different compartments of the globe. It is used in small animals to grasp and remove portions of the anterior lens capsule and portions of the lens cortex and nucleus.
| |
Interference Screws (8 suppliers)
Interference screws are used to provide interference fixation of patellar bone-tendon-bone grafts in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. It is also designed to provide interference fixation during posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction. It provides immediate stable fixation and promotes good healing by applying compressive forces to the cancellous bone plugs within the bony tunnels.

Inoculum Broth (1 supplier) | |
Incubator Chambers (5 suppliers)
Incubator chambers are perfect for customized tissue culturing conditions for gas mixture and temperature. These chambers are safe and reliable for in vitro fertilization, HIV isolation, creation of hypoxic / hyperoxic / normoxic environmental conditions, organ culture and the culturing of a host of cell lines.

Intracranial Electrodes (2 suppliers)
Intracranial electrodes are recommended when monitoring from electrodes placed on the scalp and in the cheeks does not provide enough information. The procedure is called invasive because the electrodes are placed inside the skull. Intracranial electrodes are placed on the surface (cortex) of the brain. There are two types of intracranial electrodes: cortical strips and grid electrodes.

Intracorneal Rings (ICRs) (3 suppliers)
Intracorneal rings are implanted into the peripheral cornea to flatten the anterior curvature of the central cornea and correct low degrees of myopia. The rings are made of a polymethylmethacrylate. Intracorneal rings are used to treat low myopia. Intracorneal rings are plastic inserts placed in the cornea. These rings are small device implanted in the eye to correct vision. An advantage of the intracorneal rings is that they are removed and the eye is restored to its preoperative refractive error. Intracorneal rings are thin synthetic arch-shaped segments, which together have an inner diameter of 6.7mm and are implanted into the stromal bed of the cornea. They are implanted at the corneal periphery, which flattens the corneal center.

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (7 suppliers)
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps are used to facilitate arterioarterial pumping. Intra-aortic balloon pumps consist of an elastomeric balloon that is pneumatically driven and controlled to raise central aortic pressure soon after left ventricular ejection & aortic valve closure. This reduces the workload of the heart. These are inserted percutaneously into the aorta via a femoral artery. Intra-aortic balloon pumps are used in refractory cardiac failure as a bridge to surgery.

Inverted Microscopes (10 suppliers)
Inverted Microscopes are convenient in a metallurgical lab because an operator simply places the samples on the stage and starts reviewing the sample. Inverted microscopes are used because of easy access to the stage for pipette and changes of solution. Inverted microscopes are useful for observing living cells or organisms at the bottom of a large container under more natural conditions than on a glass slide. These inverted microscopes are used to look at materials, cell culture and aquatic specimens.

Intermittent Catheters (19 suppliers)
Intermittent Catheters are hollow tubes used to drain urine from the bladder. This is called intermittent self-catheterisation. Intermittent catheters are of three types such as plain catheters, coated catheters and pre-lubricated catheters. Indwelling catheters are connected to a drainage bag, which holds the urine.
